Milkbar is Milkbar because the founder’s family immigrated from a Greek village to Australia.

Many Greek immigrants opened corner shops, emulating the Greek cafe tradition, nicknamed ‘Milkbars’.

Milkbars were cornerstones of communities in transition from immense loss to prosperity while always staying grounded in tradition.
